As of Monday, April 1, 2024, we have stopped accepting payments at Visa merchants in Japan and overseas, withdrawals at ATMs overseas, and contactless payments.

The design of GAICA /GAICA Flex are the same.

Eligibility	Eligible customers should be over 13 years old^* and meet the conditions mentioned below. ^*We will also confirm the purpose of transaction and consent from the parental guardian when signing up a customer who is a minor. Foreign exchange fee	JPY	4% of the used amount	The fee will apply when withdrawing in the local currency at overseas ATMs, or when using the card for shopping at overseas Visa affiliate stores. The foreign currency fees listed on the left will only be applied when using the JPY balance and calculated from the used JPY amount for payment or withdrawal. This fee will be deducted from the card balance. When using the card in Japan, only the JPY balance will be used for settlement and foreign exchange rate fee will not be applied.

Emergency card reissue fee	JPY	JPY 2,200 / 1 time	The fee will apply when reissuing the card. The card will be sent to the specified address made by the member. The card may not be sent due to the circumstances of country and/or region. The fee will be deducted from the card balance.

*1 In addition to the ATM withdrawal fee, which will be charged at the time of withdrawal of funds in local currencies at overseas ATMs, some financial institutions managing the said ATMs may charge additional fees. (here in after “Transaction/ User Fees.”) Transaction/ User Fees will vary by financial institution managing the said ATMs.

How to Use

How to Load	You can load funds to the card choosing the specific amount and currency at the Member-Only Site. Will be loaded directly to the GAICA Flex Prepaid Card through the PowerFlex account and the Foreign Currency Savings account. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (excludes SBI Shinsei Bank’s system maintenance periods) The load will be reflected on the card balance immediately.
Auto Reload	Set the trigger amount and the auto-reload amount on the Member-Only Site, funds will be automatically reloaded accordingly.
Monthly Auto Reload	Set the monthly auto-reload date and amount on the Member-Only Site, funds will be automatically reloaded accordingly.
How to use	The services mentioned below can be used within the card balance. ・Shopping at overseas/domestic (Japan) affiliate stores (1 time payment option only) ・Withdrawing amounts from overseas ATMs with "Visa" or "Plus" logo (The maximum withdrawal amount will be the equivalent of JPY 300,000 per month regardless of the local currency.) 1 month refers to the 1st day (0:00:00) of the month to the last day of the month (23:59:59) in Japan Standard Time(JST) Withdrawals will not be available at Japanese domestic ATMs. The JPY conversion rate applied will be by the international brand Visa’s JPY conversion rate. Reload foreign currency can only be used in countries where it is accepted. The card balance and the amount used will differ according to the currency.
Refunds	Refunds will be available as specified in the Member-Only Site by choosing the currency and amount. Loaded directly to the GAICA Flex Prepaid Card through the PowerFlex account and the Foreign Currency Savings account. Available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (excludes SBI Shinsei Bank’s system maintenance periods) Refund fee will be free of charge.
Confirming account balance	The balance and total usage (from 1 day to 1 month) can be confirmed from the card balance inquiry menu of the Member-Only Site.
Confirming account activity	Account activity for the past 6 months can be confirmed from the account activity menu on the Member-Only Site.
Changing PIN	We will reissue a new card when changing your PIN. Please contact GAICA Customer Service Desk for assistance. Card reissuance fee will apply when reissuing a new card (please confirm fees on “Fees” section).
Suspending/Reactivating your card	The “利用停止・解除” (Suspend/Reactivate) function will be available on the Top menu of the Member-Only Site.
Canceling your card	You can apply for cancellation of your card on the “解約申込” (Cancel) menu of the Member-Only Site. Cancellation will not be available until the amount used is confirmed. The remaining balance will transferred to the customer’s PowerFlex account. If you have already closed your PowerFlex account, please contact GAICA Customer Service Desk for assistance.

Precautions for reload and using foreign currency

・Reloaded foreign currency can only be used in countries where it is accepted.
・If there are both yen and foreign currency balances on the card, foreign currency will be debited first.
・If the foreign currency balance is insufficient when making a purchase, the entire purchase price will be debited to the yen balance instead.
